Easy Move Plan

Selling a house and timing your next purchase of a home can be a daunting task. Many of our clients have experienced the frustration of having to move twice, storing furniture, living with relatives and in some cases finding short-term rental.

Victorian Garden Cottages developed the "Easy Move Plan" to reduce the stress and complications that go with selling and moving to your new home.

The "Easy Move Plan" works like this:

 

  1. When you are satisfied with the design and costings a preliminary agreement is confirmed. This allows us to produce working drawings, building specifications, color choices and a fixed price building agreement.
  2. On completion of the documentation and receipt of a 5% deposit building insurance is purchased (in the client’s name) and a building permit application is lodged.
  3. When the building permit is approved we hold the file and further works until a settlement date is known and an unconditional sales contract is completed.
  4. We begin building around 6 weeks (approx for 1 bedroom Granny Cottages) before settlement to ensure that your new home is ready for you to move into. This means one move direct from your old house into the new.
  5. We cover progress payments with the addition of a small finance charge well below bank rates and with no application or lodgement fees. Ask for more details about our rates.
